Celebrating The First Week of School
Congratulations to all the Moms and Dads and Students on their first week of school. There is always a great deal of excitement and energy in our community when schools return for the first week.
Wishing the very best for upcoming school year.
I have knocked on 1,800 doors since May -- talking with parents about their concerns. Some of the top issues that they voice to me is school safety, overcrowding, traffic congestion during the pickup/ drop off.
As your next Town Council member, I will work to improve communication and coordination between the Town of Cary and the Wake County Board of Education and the Chatham County Board of Education. We need a new leader with fresh ideas that can bring the concerns of the parents to the forefront before a policy decision is taken.
Some may say that is not the role of a Town Council member but I believe leadership is about bringing people together. It's about working to address a problem that impacts the community. It's about getting things done -- not shifting responsibilities and blame.
Our parents have legitimate concerns. Let's work together to address them and improve our quality life for the residents in our town. That's what leadership is all about.
Together we can!
